Please help! 8 months waiting

Hi friends,

Here are some details of my case:

-I was married to my USC wife last June 2010.

-We filled all the requirements Oct 22.

-Got NOA Oct 28.

-F1 status expired Dec 4.

-Biometrics Dec 9.

-Got my EAD card Jan 7.

Now, I am still waiting for an interview date. Every time I got USCIS website and check the status of my application it says: (1) initial review for I-130 application; and (2) YOUR APPLICATION CANNOT BE FOUND for I-485. I called USCIS twice already and at both instances they told me that there is something wrong with their website/system but my application is in order and is still in review.

***In the light of all the factors, should I be worried that I haven't gotten an interview date yet when I filed in October?

***Does anyone know a case in new york that has been given an interview date but filed later than I did?

*** What can I do at this point?

***Anyone familiar with the timeline for cases like mine in NYC?

If you look for the NYC thread, you will see that they are very backlogged. Some people have had fast interviews but it seems the vast majority are in the same boat as you. On USCIS website it says that they are handling September AOS'.

NYC is backlogged. I had my biometrics 5 months after we sent in our paper works almost the same time as you had your biometrics to think that we sent in our application in June 2010. Did you try Infopass? Calling wouldn't do much as we found out, they'll just put in a service request kind of like acknowledging your call. Try to contact the senator or congress person from your district as well they may help.
