Hello VJers!

I hope everyone is doing well.

I'm going to Vietnam this Friday and was going to go with my fiancee to drop off packet 3 but decided that it was best that she turn it in today.

BTW - Packet 3 was sent out on 5/9 but she hasn't received it so we printed forms from Consulate web site.

Questions -

How long does it take the Consulate to schedule the interview?

Also, I worry that the interview will be scheduled after the 4 months which is the validity period for the I-129f form.

Is the Consulate a stickler when it comes to the 4 month rule?

Any information is much appreciated.

Thanks much!

Do not worry about the expiration date as they automatically extend it.. start calling DoS in a few weeks and they will tell you the status of the case and any updates.. the next update will be pkt 4 being sent and when that happens DoS can tell you the date of the interview. should be between now and early Sept some time..
