Montreal Consulate- still waiting for visa and passport

Hello everyone, i have been reading this forum for a while, there are great information here so i decided to register and share my information as well and ask for advice. My wife is Canadian/Turkish citizen and i am US/Turkish citizen. we have filed for DS-230 back in June-2010 and finally everything went through except passport and visa . My wife had an interview at the montreal consulate on May 5th and we were told it would take 6-7 business day to get passport and visa but still nothing on DHL or CSC website. I have been calling DOS to track if visa is printed but i was told the case is still pending. I really don't know what else to do

Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

I wonder if your wife is in Administrative Processing. That is common with people from certain countries

Thanks for the reply. Yes i have also emailed montreal since we can't really call them but i haven't heard from them either. Do you know how long it takes if it is on AP ? frustrated

Can take anywhere from a few weeks to a year or more. Depends how long they want to keep the file for checks.

wowww that;s a long time i just hope it is not on AP.
