Hello

Does anyone know how long it takes to get an interview after the medical results have been sent? My fiance had his medical last week. He's got to give a month's notice to his job or forfeit his last paycheck and has several other loose ends to tie up before he can move over. We are hoping for a September wedding.

I've called DOS and they said our case is still pending. Is there anything else that can be done?

Thank you

Lori

Packet 3 was sent on May 5th. His medical was sent to the embassy on May 13th.

Thanks for the all the information. Looks like I should start thinking about a later wedding date so I don't get too frazzled and disappointed.

Our dates are all about a week before yours and we still have no interview date either... when I called to pay for the interview the embassy told us to check back next week... maybe more news then.

We got our interview date yesterday

We sent packet 3 on the 30th April

and had the medical on the 6th May

With any luck, I'll be in America in time for independance day

And no, the irony isn't lost on me

So glad you got a date! Our timelines are very similar. Did you call DOS to get the date?

Yes, we've been calling DOS every day for the last week or so. No sign of packet 4 yet

Although I did give work some sort of notice

I told them when I applied in October that I was leaving, and have worked out a date with them today.

So if all goes to plan I quit my job on the 24th June. Seems insane to leave a perfectly good job and then not have one until I can find something in America.... months later
