The Hotel is great I never had problem. Ask to be placed in new part of the hotel which is newer. I had my wedding their and spent a week their also. They have free breakfast in the morning. Never had a an issue with the noise but you have to expect it in a big city.

Lotus Garden wasnt too bad, the night I stayed there it got loud in the hallway about 3 or 4 am in the morning. I liked Pearl Garden better. Quieter if you want some sleep and still pretty cloase to St. Lukes. We walked back from St. Lukes to Pearl Garden hotel.

I am now checked in at Lotus Garden Hotel. Customer service sucks. Room is decent but too small for a Superior double kind of room. I stayed several times at City Garden Suites and it's better than Lotus. Can't wait to see their breakfast buffet tomorrow.

Like I said in another post I stayed with my friends in City Garden Suites, and I didn't see anything I didn't like about City Garden Suites. We stayed there a total of 4 nights, and we were out and about during the days. We stayed there coming into Manila from Seattle Washington for 2 nights, visiting her family during the days, and then we stayed another 2 nights after flying from Dumaguete City back to Manila, visiting with her family again in Manila, and spending time at the Malls. The rooms were clean, fresh, and comfortable with air conditioning, hot and cold water; everything you would want. The free breakfast buffets were wonderful with a large variety of everything you might possibly want to eat. Customer service was great with very friendly people. I would recommend it to anyone needing a place to stay. It was a very good experience for us. Our friends have stayed there several times over the years, and they like it well enough to return. It was my first trip to the Philippines, which was a wonderful experience for me.

My wife's brother lives in Guimaras Island, but I didn't get to see him and his filipina wife as they were too busy to come to get me, so I just hung out with my friend and her families the entire time, and had a wonderful time. We had a good visit with her brother when he came to Washington a couple of weeks ago, and that was good!

Okay, I'm home and I passed my medical exam! woooot!

Regarding Lotus, I did not like my stay. Here are the pros:

1. Bell boys are nice

2. Bed is soft

Cons:

1. Although I said bed is soft it is too small for two. I got the Superior double for me and my mom and it looks like a Standard single. I called reception area to ask why it shows very, very different from the photos they have posted on their website, he just confirmed that yes, it is their Superior double room already. Mom and I need to fit ourselves and sleep together on one bed, contrary to what they have on their website (2 beds for superior double)

2. This was mentioned several times from the reviews I got from tripadvisor - Customer service sucks. It.Really.Does.

3. For breakfast, they have eggs, fish fillet, sausage, sweetened ham, rice, fruits (watermelon and pineapple), bread, coffee, juice, soup - that's it.

4. Room is really small. Really, really, really small.

I've stayed several times at City Garden Suites too which is walking distance away from Lotus and I really regret staying at Lotus instead of City Garden. I thought it's worth the try but I was wrong.

I will never, ever go back.
