How long does it take to get the interview letter from the Colombian Embassy? My fiancée lives in Bogota so I would not think it should take too long, any one have any experience with timing to get the interview letter,

I sent an e-mail to the embassy on 5/4/11 and received a response on 5/5/11 with our interview date. If we don't get the interview letter can we use this e-mail in place of the interview letter?

If we can't use the e-mail and the letter does not come before the interview date what are our options?

My fiancee, now wife, never recieved an interview letter. The instructions on the embassy website directs you to print out the page of the appointment list with your case number and present that to the embassy personal at the gate. That is what we did and it worked out fine.

Since the mail system in Colombia is so poor, most people never get an interview packet or they actually receive it after their visa interview. The beneficiary can still their lab work and medical done with their BGT number. Also, the instructions can be found on the US embassy in Bogotá website.
