Hi everyone, I have posted this recently but now I'm really getting worried. Our petition left NVC on April 12th and Department of State is still saying that Lagos has not received it. (Today makes one month since it left!!) Neither my fiance nor I have received an email with packet 3 or have received an interview date yet. Surely it does not take this long. I emailed Lagos and got the auto response of frequently asked questions. I am worried. If I send another request by email will they finally respond? I need advice guys.. thanks.

Send them another email in few days, if you don't get a response from them soon. Did you email it to

LagosIV@state.gov? We, my fiance and I never received the package #3, I just filled out the form from USCIS.GOV site. Don't forget you are dealing wit Nigeria, expect the unexpected and often.

Good luck! Please keep us posted.

Sorry to hear the wait is taking a toll on you, hang in there. As for the long wait, the same thing happened to my petition, it took several weeks before I got a reply with an interview date. The good news I can share with you is regardless of what they are doing, your interview date will be in place with those whose petition have similar dates with yours. Stay strong!

Just an FYI, Lagos doesn't sent out a Packet 3, it is available on their website.

hi, I don't know if this will help at all, but as soon as I received the NOA2 I emailed the consulate in Lagos to open a provisional file for my fiance. Shortly thereafter he received a packet from them. Unfortunately I don't know what was included w the package. I did UPS (very, very, expensive to do) all of the required forms to him filled out and everything that I had originally submitted. Now we are waiting for notification of his interview date. As with everything else this is a slow process. Hopefully we will hear from them within the next couple of weeks. Did you receive a case number from the NVC? Don't give up. Keep after them until you get an answer, one way or another. I feel your pain and frustration! Keep me posted on how you are doing. I will share with you anything that has been of help to us.

I will advice u call the Us embassy in Nigeria, they are prompt to pick calls from USC In US.

Continue sending the email and send it to appropriate address.contant NVC again on this situation and forward the corresponding email to the embassy.

Nigeria has a high number of visa applicants all day,so pestering the embassy wld be the only way to know if u r on their Agenda.

Best of Luck

Yeah and speaking of the Packet 3, I went to the website and where it says "K1/K3 click here to open informational packet" you are unable to click it, it's just text now! It's the weirdest thing. If anyone has the forms or knows how to get them another way, I would really appreciate someone emailing them to my personal email address... so I can get a head start. Thanks.

I think you will just have to wait for them to send you the link I do not know where you can go and get the link from or the documents that were included in the link and no worries when you get the papers it wont take you long to fill them out you will have plenty of time to gather what you need......
