I am pretty sure they do. I have seen others on here talking about being a disability and their cases turned out fine. Go to the USCIS website and read the instructions for the I-134 and it shoulg give you a definate answer there. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Hi. My fiance is getting SSDI, I'm done with my interview last week in USEM (Manila), did not have any problem. Consul did not ask any questions about it. ITR was not asked, gave my fiance's 1099 instead and a letter from the Social Security with details of the benefit. My fiance also prepared a letter for the consul explaining his income plus assets.

I guess it really depends with the embassy. Where is the beneficiary's interview at?

As long as it is Stable and Guaranteed Income and not temporary and other income and assets meets the Income Guildlines. SSI is acceptable as long as the requirements are met. Off Topic: The Consular (I don't know what Country you Filed in) will "Unsaid" look at the beneficiaries Posible Income at a future date based on her Education and past work history. It's a Guessing Game.

What about State Disability? Somebody told me they would not accept it because it was considered state assistance even if you would get it for several years.

Don't push the Limits. I only know SSI is OK. You go into State "Welfare" you are asking for trouble. Another Member might better answer this. If your SSI and/or Assets Qualify. LEAVE IT ALONE.
