Hi,

We've been waiting for my wife's Japan police clearance for over two months now (requested on March 10), and this seems longer than usual. Is anyone else waiting for their Police Clearance from the Japanese embassy in Manila, or have recently received it? How long did it take (or is still in progress)?

Thanks...

hi, i just wanna share my experience obtaining Japan police clearance. I just went to the embassy with my valid passport, the filipino staff asked me whats my purpose, and I said for my K1 visa requirement. The staff handed me a from to fill-up, and he photocopied my passport and gave it back to me after I finished my application form. He instructed me to go get fingerprints to Camp Crame, and with the direction he given me, I went there same day, finished it before lunchbreak.By the way I dont have 2x2 id picture with me that day, and its necessary for u not to waste time and effort of going there without it. Anyway, someone will suggest you inside the Camp Crame where to find a nearby rush photo id. Still better to have your 2x2 id photo with you, I must say.

I got my police clearance just today after waiting for 43days. They will call the number you will give them to contact you, even before you can go back there and get your police clearance.Always bring your valid passport with you. Have a great day! :)

Hi i would like to ask if the Filipino staff asked for the letter of instruction from the US embassy? I also need to get my police clearance but they told me to wait for the NVC for the case number, and then go to USEM for the letter, and bring it toJapan Embassy for police clearance process..
