Things are finally looking great for us!

We got approved in about 30 days through the whole NVC process. I used the NVC guideline from this site. Didn't need a lawyer. I misread and sent certified copies, not government originals or government copies (which are originals!) to the NVC, so we got a notice from them that they wanted to see her original birth certificate and our marriage license. They closed our case with the NVC last week. I panicked when they told me that the could not give me an interview date, and that we would have to potentially wait until next month to get an interview date for July! But our interview is scheduled for June 15th 8:45am! I could not be happier right now!

I have been reading everyone else's stories here, and I wish this site could be something we could all refer to during our immigration process. I see nothing but loving people everywhere here and we are all one big support group. I have all of you to thank for this gift. I could never have made it through the process without you all! The story is far from over, but I feel like it's just beginning...

I feel the same Christopher, this is a great tool for all of us and do you know how much money we are saving by doing this ourselves? hahahaha that's more money for summer outfits and future savings for when my hubby is here!!!

Felo thanks! guess what? i received an e-mail today from NVC (they were the ones who scheduled my interview by the way) we have an Appointment for june 21!! I was under the impression that the santo domingo wait was more than 2 months, I barely have time to get ready im so happy!

I still cannot see my interview date on the embassy website they only have posted for MAY and APRIL. I guess pretty soon they will update the info though.

next steps:

-gather all the info I need to take with me to santo domingo, including duplicates of my affidavit and Visa packages.

- start looking for nice outfits and lingerie cause i'm getting my groove on soon ... Gosh I feel like prom night all over again, so happy!
