I did sent it, but read other people didnt sign it, so making sure I did the right thing by signing. I am not even sure if they got mine as they rec it by recorded delivery on April 26 but not in their system. Although, 2 bank holidays in between.

For the record, they won't freak out if you make a mistake signing or not.

The DS-156K is an oath and your signature is witnessed by the consulate officer as you sign.(Notice below your signature line, a place for him to sign.) If you signed it before mailing, he would make you sign again beside your previous signature so he could witness.

If you didn't sign the DS-156, they would have you sign when they are checking all your paperwork at the first window you are called to. They aren't there to intimidate you or look for trivial details to deny you over.
