I havent got a hold of our NOA2 yet, Just curious what is the usual instruction stated inside the notice. I will take your advice Ray, I will checked our approved I-129F at NVC after 2 weeks. Hopefully they have it by then. I have a question, when is the best time to secure police certificate? My fiancee have worked and stayed in Brunie for 2 years. As a requirement, she needs to secure the police certificate from Brunie. It is advisable to secure it while the application is still at NVC or when the papers in USEMBASSY.

Kendora--In regards to what to do after receiving NOA2, here is an astoundingly excellent and comprehensive thread:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/318248-things-to-do-upon-getting-noa2-philippines

Note all in thread, especially post by Paul & Tonieta which ties it all together nicely. We ourselves don't have NOA2 yet either but the info in above thread is helping us prepare much now in anticipation of NOA2.

For all the April filers:

Mohammed and I got our NOA1 on April 5th, and received our NOA2 yesterday! So at least for us, VSC is running a little ahead of schedule. It was a welcome relief!

I hope the rest of you get your NOA2's soon!

Anyone have any advice on getting a case re-routed to a different embassy? Right now in Damascus, Consular and Visa Services are suspended indefinitely. I called NVC yesterday to see if they could re-route to Lebanon, and I was told they don't have my file yet (which is definitely understandable since I called like an HOUR after I got the online notification of the NOA2 haha). How long does it usually take for NVC to receive a file or for us to receive the NOA2 letter in the mail? I know I need to be patient, but this step forward is so exciting! Its hard to contain myself!

Good luck to the rest of you! VSC is working on the beginning of April, so you'll be next hopefully!

ROFL we got our rfe today. Since our I-129F form states that GG is from Phil they want proof that she was in Jordan when I traveled there. Seems a little silly that the 15 pictures with about half of them being from the mountains and desert in Petra and Jordan. I don't maybe there is a lot of camels and desert in Phil that I don't know of. Or maybe I'm really really good at Photoshop. Oh and GG paid for the hotel IN Jordan. Oh well off to jumping thru hoops.

Send in a copy of the boarding pass and get a copy of the hotel receipt. That should do it, I would think. :)

This is a bit upsetting more I think of it. I guess I should take it off my mind or try to. Seriously it's like they didn't look at the form completely or the evidence of us meeting. If they did they would see we listed where she is currently living, where she works, she paid for the hotel, we included that receipt, 15 different pictures of places that are no where near Phil. We sent in Petra, Wadi Rum, and Roman Amp Theater. How can any of that be mistaken for Phil? Maybe if I threw in a picture of us at the Mall of Asia I can see how that can be confusing but we don't have that picture because I've never been to Phil.

Ok I vented time to be positive again.

Sorry about that; hope this little bit of friendly levity may ease some of the frustration and sincerely hoping all goes well for you here on out. --RK

Oh, Wow, I just checked my personal email and there is USCIS notice "petition approved"!!!!! The coveted NOA2!!:dance:

I can't believe it; I think I am still in shock; had to read email over 5 times before could believe what I was seeing. What an incredibly feeling.

To all fellow April filers who are waiting: I am still cheering you all on even in my own excitment. Hope you all will soon get to experience this great feeling!!!

John--Thank you very much. The additional good news for you is that there seems to be a pattern of NOA2s following RFE responses in comparitively short order (compared to the non-RFE'd folks). Hope that you will hold true for you as well. --RK

Congrats :) Hopefully it won't be much longer for ours. Hopefully GG can get what she needs quickly and get it sent to me. :)

What does she have to send to you? An apartment lease agreement or a copy of an employment contract? B-)

<----------------------- There you go a Jordanian Camel, GG, Myself and an Arab man in the background. :P haha GG was so scared of that camel. It was so funny.

I think I'll just go back and we'll take a pic next to a welcome to Jordan sign and send it in to be sure. hehe Just Kidding. :P

We're going to do the following :

Get her employer to write a letter stating she was in Jordan during the whole month April.

Photocopy of her residence visa

Photocopy of her work id badge

Photocopy of entry stamp to Jordan in her Passport

Her work certification

I was told by an USCIS officer to write a cover letter explaining her situation there. He said send in more photos and all other evidence just in case.

If anyone feels I'm missing anything feel free to chip in.
