I gotta go to Osaka japan for work in July anyone know if Osaka is safe since the quake or what effect the quake had on this city?

Several people from my work just got back from Osaka, so we've been monitoring it. Except for hotels being marginally more crowded, effects are minimal. The background radiation levels spiked very briefly, but are now back to normal, and there was no earthquake or infrastructure damage to speak of.

It's safe. No problems at all. I might still be a little reluctant to go to Tokyo, maybe, but Osaka is another 150-200 miles further out from the reactors. It's fine.
