Hi all,

My husband originally had his interview scheduled for April 7th; then the embassy in Niamey, Niger contacted him and moved it to April 11th. Despite him calling and emailing them and going down there in person they wouldn't give him the documents needed for his medical. He went on the 11th and then they gave him the documents and sent him away to do the medical, which he did. Once that was finally done they scheduled the interview for today, April 26th. They asked him to come back on Thursday with more wedding photos and wanted further proof that he has divorced his ex-wife (besides a certified court document? with legal translation?).

I am very stressed about this...my lawyer says it's normal, but has anyone else experienced this? Any advice?

Sept 13, 2010 - I-130 received

Sept 16, 2010 - Check for I-130 cleared

Sept 19, 2010 - Touched

Sept 20, 2010 - Received hard copy of NOA1 for I-130

Dec 7, 2010 - Received text/email NOA2!!

Dec 11, 2010 - Recieved hard copy NOA2

March 10, 2010 - Received notice of interview appointment for April 7th

April 11, 2011 - Went to interview and given paperwork to do medical exam(after he had requested the docs and they wouldn't give them to him)

April 26, 2011 - Rescheduled interview

April 28, 2011 - Visa approved!!!

STEPCHILDREN

August 7, 2012 - NOA1 received

January 23, 2013 - Email/text notification of approval
