Time lag between NVC case completion and the interview

Situation: My wife's K3 (immigrant visa) case is complete at NVC, and I will be hearing from them by early next month (May) about when they have scheduled an interview at the US consulate in Mumbai for my wife.

Question: Assuming that NVC tries to schedule the interview in the 2nd week of May, when can I expect the interview? Can I expect it in June? Is that realistic, considering the rush in Mumbai? What is the normal time lag between the time NVC tries to schedule an interview and you actually go for the interview?

My understanding is that the NVC will now forward your case to the Consulate and they will be the ones who schedule the interview. Check out the regional forum for specific info on Mumbai and probably post your question there for good info from people who are dealing with that consulate.
