medical question that worries me

3 posts in this topic

i havent even STARTED the process yet,but i will in the upcoming months. Im worried because i recently took a trip to Amsterdam and yes i did smoke quite a bit while i was there.im saddened by this now. I know in the medical they take your blood and urine, and it has been a while so im not worried about that at all.

but i have pretty long hair and im worried about if they take a hair sample? do they take hair samples at the medical? it was a 3 1/2 week thing and it was legal where i was. Knowing what i know now,i wish i could take it all back. It would be the biggest dissapointment of my life if this hurt the process. just wondering if they do take hair samples,or if im gonna have to chop my hair off:(

sorry about how selfish and immature this question might sound, its just a must ask.

They don't take hair samples.

And if it's just # don't worry, they don't test against that. The traces are gone in a few weeks, and they are mainly interested in testing you for HIV and communicable diseases (TB etc).

Agreed that there are no drug tests, so you don't need to worry about that. fyi - they also no longer test for HIV, just for TB and syphilis I believe (not positive which they test for, but I know HIV is no longer relevant for the communicable disease aspect).
