Manila Embassy - Request for Additional Information

My fiance had her K1 interview about two weeks ago. The interviewer said everything looked good. She was told however that the embassy would need to request additional information from NBI because she had put on her forms that she was arrested prior. This was true as she was involved in a domestic incident when she came back to her apartment 10 years ago and caught her foreign boyfriend in bed with another woman.

Because there was an altercation, she turned herself into the police for clarification of the incident. The case was cleared by a judge and she has full dismissal of all charges.

My question is how long does this usually take to clear when the embassy has to get clarification from NBI. She explained it to me that because there are some fake documents, the embassy has to check with NBI to confirm the validity of her dismissal and court documents which are all proper with official seals and signatures. She also has her current NBI clearance for both Philippines and for International Travel.

Any idea of a timeline would be appreciated.

Thank you!
