I have read that it takes 3 days to get results from the medical. So my question is this: Is that a full three days??? I am hoping on flying in on day 1 and having my medical the same day, so does that mean that on Day 4 I would pick up my results and have the interview on day 5 (then fly home after) or would it be medical on day 1, pick up results on day 3, and have interview on day 4???? As I live in Alberta it all has to be done in Montreal at the same time. Thanks for any advice you can give. You all went through this but can't find where anyone has addressed this subject. you would have to pick up your results the day before the interview to be there for 6:30 A.M. right????

Your medical results should be available within 48 hours. I had mine done in Toronto, but the procedure/policy should be the same at both Toronto and Montreal offices. I had mine done on a Monday and it was available for pick up on Wednesday by noon.

Right - you'd need to collect the medical results the day before the interview (though it seems like maybe results are couriered from the Montreal medical - there was some chatting about this at my interview, though I'd check with the doctor's office when you book).

I had my medical on a Tuesday, was told results would be ready for pickup after noon on Thursday.

I am hoping to do the very same thing. For I have looked into flights and hotels and to fly to Montreal twice is not cost effective for me. And Toronto isn't any cheaper either. (plus taking time off work is not good either, I have no vacation or sick time to use).

I hope to get medical on a Monday and interview Thurs if possible???

That was what I was thinking, fly in and interview on day 1, pick up results day 3 and interview adn fly home day 4. I should have a date soon, just waiting for my divorce cert from Sask, email it in then should hear within the 20 days.

I am hoping to do the very same thing. For I have looked into flights and hotels and to fly to Montreal twice is not cost effective for me. And Toronto isn't any cheaper either. (plus taking time off work is not good either, I have no vacation or sick time to use).

I had my medical done in Montreal. They told me that it would be ready for pick up after 3 business days. They also told me that I could pick it up before the interview because they open at 6:30, and it is only a few minutes walk to the consulate. You can call and ask questions before you book.

I had my medical done at Medisys in Montreal. They do tell you it will be ready in 3 business days but it sometimes isn't (mine wasn't). If it's not ready for your interview they will give you a sealed envelop to give the consulate. You can still go on with your appointment and you will be told by the consulate that you need to mail the whole medical packet from your local DHL location with your passport when it is ready.

AOS from K1 completed February 2012

I had mine done at the same place. I had it done on Friday April 1st....(I decided to make 2 trips for several reasons) I paid to have it sent to me ($50 plus taxes) I called them on Tuesday to ask what courier they used and they told me Purolator. They told me at that time they were just waiting for some photocopies and that it would be sent soon.....Wednesday I went into town, when I came back around 3:30 pm, I had just missed Purolator being here with my medical...That was fast considering I had just talked to them the afternoon before. So if you count Friday, the day I had my medical....it was ready on the 3rd business day which was Tuesday. Nice thing about Medisys, they don't use the big xray, it is on a cd :-)

I may just look to being there five days to just be sure I can get the medical results and the interview at the same time. I don't need soemthing else to hold up everything.

One girl at my interview came back from the first or second window saying her medical results hadn't been couriered over yet - it sounded like she'd had her medical in Montreal recently...
