I guess now I will be bugging you guys in this area. I have already shared my good news with everyone, but since I am in this part of the fourm, I will share again. I finally got my NOA2 today and will start the NVC quest. I was think about waiting for one week before I start to call NVC, is this good idea? For the people going from Approved I-130, what is the time frame from USCIS to NVC? I wanted to say thank you to everyone in advance and I look forward for smooth ride with NVC.

Thanks Again!

Josh

Read your NOA2 carefully. It gives you a time frame in which you should expect to hear from NVC (generally 90 days). The NOA2 also has the NVC phone number which you can call to follow up (If you haven't heard anything after 90 days). It took about 83 days for NVC to get started with my wife's case.

Be patient during this time and maybe give NVC a call in about 60 days to see, if by chance, they have received and entered your case.

In the mean time, this is an excellent time to study the NVC guides here at visa journey and become very familiar with all the steps ahead. You can start preparing some forms (but don't date them yet) now (i.e. I864 & DS230) and have time to double check them, as well as the supplement documents that you will need to provide with the forms.

Best of Luck,

Congratulations on your NOA2. I will share my exp. I remember, I had called to NVC(AVR) after 2/3 working days. So you can call NVC to listen the AVR. May be after a week you can directly call and speak to an operator. There is no harm in it. NVC will take 8 to 10 days to manually upload your case into system. Please Read Loto's guide for NVC.

This is the time you can arrange your civil documents. Pay attention to PCC coz it takes time. Good luck.

Thanks for the input guys. I have read alot of the Shortcut guides and I will read them again now that I am officially at the NVC Status. I will give NVC about a week, but I will call them this friday (AVS) and see if I can get something. After about week and a half I will try to get hold of the operator. BTW, what info do I need from NVC besides the case number? I remember reading that I will also need to get my invoice #? Please let me know so when I call I know what to ask. I am hoping and wishing that I will be done with NVC with one month or less. I will try to get all my documents and my wife's documenst all together and go from there.

Thank You!

Josh
