Hello,

Me and my ex-husband just finalized our divorce, and after receiving the divorce decree, I'd need to file my I-751 packet by myself.

I found quite a lot of great answers here on forum, but I still have few questions left.

1) Do I still need a sworn (and does it have to be sworn?)affidavit from two friends who knew us as a married couple? (Should I try to get more than 2?)

2) Should I ask my husband for some sort of letter stating that we've had a bona fide marriage? (We're on good terms after the divorce.)

3) Are there any examples of cover letters and friend's affidavits on the forum which apply to my situation, i.e. not filing jointly? (I couldn't find any)

4) Should I attach any personal letter stating the reasons for divorce or is this unnecessary? (there was no abuse involved)

5) Is there anything else I need to do, look into, etc. before filing? (I have quite a lot of documents as a proof of having a legitimate marriage and other, above mentioned, documents)

I'd appreciate any tips as I'm expecting to get my decree next week and would like to file asap.

Thank you,

KawiGirl
