please members keep post news regarding the embassy even if u get your interview date so u wake up hope in all of us

Monalisa, I hope I am not putting the cart before the horse, but from the info I have gathered, the embassy reopening in mid April is so true. I will for sure share any news I get as time goes on, but still today I am basking in the joy of it all, its been a long time coming! WAAAAHOOOOOO!

I can however understand what your saying... we want the embassy to put their money where their mouth is and us some real action! So I agree with you 100 percent, but still I feel like my hope is renewed!

Hey guys, I just received this email from the Department of State.

Egypt Travel Warning Update‏

1:16 PM

From: CA, Travel Info (Travelinfo@STATE.GOV)

Sent: Tue 3/29/11 1:16 PM

To: ACS_EGYPT@CALIST.STATE.GOV

March 29, 2011

The U.S. Department of State urges U.S. citizens planning to travel to Egypt to consider the risks and to be aware of the information below. This Travel Warning replaces the Travel Warning dated February 18, 2011, to update information on the ongoing security and political situation in Egypt, including the return to Egypt of most non-emergency US Embassy personnel.

On February 1, the Department of State ordered the departure of all non-emergency government personnel and family members from Egypt due to the ongoing political and social unrest. The U.S Embassy in Cairo remains on ordered departure status for dependents, but most employees have returned, and the Embassy is resuming normal operations.

The U.S. Embassy is open for all routine American Citizens Services by appointment. U.S. citizens needing emergency assistance do not need an appointment. Visit the Embassy website to check the latest changes to embassy hours or services. U.S. citizens with routine phone inquiries may call the Embassys American Citizens Services section at 2797-2301, Sunday to Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. For emergencies after business hours and on weekends and holidays, U.S. citizens can contact the Embassy Duty Officer via the Embassy switchboard on 2797-3300. The U.S. Embassy is closed on U.S. federal holidays. U.S. citizens in Egypt are encouraged to enroll in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP). By enrolling, U.S. citizens make it easier for the Embassy to contact them in case of emergency.

There is much more but this is the part where we are inquiring about.

USA in Cairo is just sucks they are so slow on purpose just to make people frustrated and try to push them to give up.

They give the consular the right to approve or reject the visa based on what???

They have requirements for each visa so if you meet the requirements then you MUST qualify but they still throw stones in your road and accuse you are a liar and you just want to travel to USA to get the green card

They are giving themselves the right to judge you and control in your life in just 10 minutes interview and they are talking about the human rights and the personal freedom and when you contact them they just give you the same stupid sick standard answer

Simply this rules is just not fair
