International ATM fees through the roof!

Has anyone else tried a CIRRUS ATM card? I was only charged a dollar for each transaction with mine.

How long ago has that been may I ask? The ATM fees just started a few months ago. Before that there was no charge for her family to use the PayPal card I got them.

True. My ATM card has a CIRRUS logo on it, but it didn't save me the 200php charge.

I don't have a problem with charging ATM fees, in general, but you're talking about $5 for every $200... and in the States it's $3 max for $300. Plus you're getting hit with the exchange rate. My bank refunds ATM fees too, but only up to $15.

If you open a PNB account, you can either remit to your account or remit as a pickup at the bank. Your wife could also have access to the money via the PNB ATM card or simply cashing a check. The checking account does require a minimum balance of 2500 PHP, at least the last we checked.

Remit, ATM, Xoom, Western Union, MoneyGram. . .

I guess it all comes with fees now, except for a money-belt full of pesos!
