Hi All,

Did anyone recently have interview in India for Spouse Visa ?

If yes , can you please share if 2 PCC's were needed or just one. I am getting conflicting information.

Please any update is useful ?

Hi

From what I know, you need Police Clearance Certificate and also Passport Clearance Certificate.

You need to get Police Clearance Certificate FIRST and then go to the passport office for passport clearance certificate.

actually the 2 PCCs are a local one (from local police station) and a regional passport one. If your wife's passport has been issued within the last 6 months, then you only need the regional passport office one. If >6 mos, then both. HOWEVER, even though we obtained both (since my wife's passport was just within 6 months), interestingly, the consulate (we filed from Chennai) did NOT ask to see the local one from the local police station. Just the regional passport office. Thus all the effort and the bribing for the local one was wasted. SO, 1st, see how old your wife's passport is. Then check the consulate website (while most of them have the same rules), there may be differences. hope this helps. best of luck!
