Here is the best I've found I found on 12/B. in LingChe's short cuts. It says NVC contacts the candidate/agent and notifies of the interview date. I don't have first hand experience with this but hopefully next week will. Anyone else, please expand on this answer.!!

Mostly, the NVC will be the one to schedule the applicant's interview after the case is completed. They will send an email to the beneficiary about the interview date schedule. That is considered as Packet 4 and it will be presented when the applicant will have his/her medical exam at St. Lukes Extension clinic, among other requirements.

But on approved expedite cases, the NVC will forward the case to the respective consulate and it's the applican't responsibility to coordinate with the consulate or embassy for the interview schedule.

In my case, after my co-sponsor sent the checklist response (part 25 entries of his I-864 affidavit of support didn't match with his W2s and tax transcripts since he rounded his income to the nearest thousand), my husband requested for an expedite. It was approved so they forwarded it to Manila and it was me that called a couple of times to the US Embassy Manila to follow-up if they already received my case. After 9 days, I was able to schedule my interview online and print the interview appointment confirmation. I will then bring it with me on my interview. By the way, I had my medical exam done in advance last December. I only presented an email print-out from the NVC with my name and case number on it, since I didn't have theinterview appointment that time. They just asked me to sign a note saying that it is my own will to have it done in advance and I am aware that the results are valid for a limited time only, depending on what the results are, if normal or significant.

D&%%%$MMIT!!!!!!! I gave the exact numbers from my actual returns and they match the 864. BUT........I got an accountant who did adjustments last summer for the 07 and 08 years that showed up on my transcripts as DIFFERENT incomes than on the actual returns. I sent both and there's an explanation of him refiling due to errors on my part. Thanks for telling me about your issue, I'll be on the phone tomorrow morning with NVC to get clarification of this potential RFE. So much for sleeping tonight!!

You're welcome. I am sorry though that you're bothered with this tonight. I hope they will consider the letter of explanation about the corrections and that you won't get an RFE. Calling them to clarify things is a good idea. Goodluck Bob! Keep us posted :)

By attaching both the Tax Account Transcripts and the Tax return transcripts they were able to discern that it was legitimate and why my numbers weren't identical to the Tax account transcripts. My suggestion to anyone who does do an after the fact adjustment to their returns would be to include Both into the AOS package with a note explaining.

You certainly look prepared! My husband won't be taking copies of forms we submitted early in the process. The file he is taking is already 3 inches thick and if they don't have the information we will deal with having to return to drop the information off. The interview is 4 short days away for us, so we are both pretty much feeling numb at this point in time.

Good luck on your interview!

Apologies if I state in a comment that my husband and I have been together for years & years. It's just that I can hardly remember a time when he and I were not together.

event.png

Ahhhhhhhhhh!!! We are currently in Administrative Processing with no time-lines to guide us!

My husband is looking at cars in Trinidad for me as his wish has come true! Me a Trini-Wife!

BUT

I will call DoS weekly to check the progress and I will not give up hope.

July of 2011 is the cut off date for us, when I will either start construction on a home here in the US or return to Trinidad to be with my husband.
