We only have noa1 right now but are anxiously awaiting noa2 hopefully within the month so we are preparing all our other documents for the next step. In that step we noticed that we have a list to send with the ds 230 and i 864..tends to be confusing because on one section it says one thing and another section it says to send extra items...so we preparing the extra items nonetheless...

In the items it says to send i 864 with all supporting documents, 3 yrs tax returns or transcripts...I will be sending transcrips for 2 and the last one is the actual return with w2's, income verification for job with job letter, child support notarized info as well as divorce agreement stating the amount of child support and children's ages etc...and asset info..with a notarized copy that the assets are there and there is income quartely from dividends as well as what the amount would be if I had to cash it out.

we are also preparing the following:

certified divorce decree, certified marriage certificate in urdu and english, certified birth certificate for beneficiary, certified police certificate, certified NIC document, as well as passport copy and NIC copy for beneficiary.

The problem is everything we read we can't get police certificate without the embassy letter. Has anyone else had this issue and is it ok if we don't send this with the i 864 packet...

And are we missing anything?

Thanks for any help!

My wife was able to get a Police Certificate without an embassy letter from the Police Station in Karachi in about 1-2 days. It shouldn't be an issue.
