Good day!

To all VJ friends and members, I just want to share all of you about my case, my interview is on Feb. 01, it is pretty fine the consular question and I answer all his question but he focus to my AOS. He ask me addt'l AOS of my husband step dad because my husband Mom and his sted dad are filing same income tax return so he required me my husband step dad I-864A form only, then he gave 221 (g) letter. The embassy gave me further instruction how to sent the addt'l docs. together my passport its via 2GO. I sent the addt'l docs. on Feb. 14. together my passport in 2GO and got text message from 2GO on Feb. 15 that Embassy Manila received my docs. Did anyone here in Phils. got same problem like mine that consular officer issued 221 (g)? And how long it takes to get your visa on hand?

I hope somebody here same problem like mine and kidly share.

Thanks a lot and God Bless.

You complete me...I love you so much my husband.. YOU and ME FOREVER...

My wife needed to her CEMAR to check for previous marriages (lawyer didn't tell us). Her interview was on Feb 2, the Embassy didn't get the CEMAR until Feb 14.

We are still waiting. i have heard it can take 6-8 weeks, and that is from people on this site.

Best of luck, i hope we both get the visas soon!

Until I read about CEMAR here on VJ, I had never heard of such a thing. It is not mentioned in any of the info posted by U.S. Embassy, Manila. I had my wife get a CEMAR at NSO (along with our NSO marriage contract). Wonder why the U.S. Embassy doesn't put this info out on their website?

Although I haven't crossed that bridge yet, I'm sure, (since they wanted your passport back) along with the documents, that everything will be O.K. I guess that is why they tell us not to book any flight until visa is actually in hand.
