Already thinking ahead to when Vinko and I get married and what to do about name change. Maybe it is more simple than I think...but I think my situation is more complicated.

I worry about it because I am the US citizen who has put forth all the petitioning, etc. Currently, I go by my married name from my last marriage. I never changed it back because my passport had my married name, etc. and I need my passport available to be able to travel.

I want to go back to my maiden name when I marry Vinko, but I am afraid this is just going to cause a lot of frustration with regards to changing Vinko's status, etc.

In both Hispanic and Croatian cultures, married women do not take their husband's last names. However, it make more sense when working with USCIS again if I took his name instead of switching back to my maiden name. Keeping my previous married name would definitely not be an option!

Anyone ever deal with this?
