Hey yall,

3 quick questions. Going for my interview on Feb 18.

1) Do I need to bring my father-in-laws ORIGINAL tax papers (since he is co sponsoring me with my husband) or do copies suffice?

2) Typically, how long after the day of the interview is approved do you get your passport back with the visa? I wanna leave 2 weeks after the interview day to move to Chicago.

3) Read something about DHL courrier to deliver your passport back? WHat is this???????

any help would be great! thanks lovelies :)

1. ORIGINAL helps. But dont forget to ask for them back.

2. If ur interview is approved, they take normally 3-7 days to get your password with the visa in it.

3. I would not take the mail delivery for my passport if i was planing to on in 2 weeks.

Regards,

Montreal Girl you should really post in the Canada section of the forums. MTL embassy uses DHL now as their courier it is the only way to get your passport back. You HAVE TO Register on this site BEFORE your interview and since its coming up soon I'd def hurry.

Go to this site

www.usvisa-info.com

select your country which is Canada. Click Sign in at the top and than you have to select the DHL branch closest to your home location. If you do not do this you will delay getting your visa back.

1: Both; always have originals and the original w-2s and other documents filed and don't forget to bring copies of them.

2: It's always tricky to try to predict this. Sometimes it's a matter of how fast your papers move through the office and where they are in the stack. It seems that 2 weeks is pretty much the norm though.

3: DHL is a courrier service much like Fed Ex and UPS.

May love and laughter light your days,
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
wherever you may roam.
May peace and plenty bless your world
with joy that long endures.
May all life's passing seasons
bring the best to you and yours!
