If I file my AOS and advanced parole this week, do you guys think there's any chance I'll be seeing my family in France for Christmas? My sister is having a baby that is due Christmas day! I haven't seen my family in almost a year and my mom is really starting to stress me out by asking me 'ARE YOU COMING HOME FOR CHRISTMAS' every day!! I DON'T KNOW MOM! It's in the hands of the almighty uscis officers! Well, it's almost in their hands. Right now, it's in my hands because we finally have the money to send all of this in. How can they expect someone to not be able to work but be able to pay hundreds of dollars in application fees to be ABLE to work in the first place?!!

Ok. I'm stressing out here. Someone help ease my headache (and heartache) and tell me there's a slight chance I'll see my family this Christmas. I'm only 20! I'm still a baby! I need my mama!

Bonjour!

Yeah I feel exactly the same way! Paying all those big bucks, not having a job... EAD still not arrived here, and I have my AOS interview next week. What's the point of paying for that EAD, I wonder. I could have used the money!

And me too am wondering when I'll be able to go home! The boredom is making me so homesick, I swear. And I'm a burden on my wife too...She has to put up with all my bad moods..

It has been taking about 2-3 months for people to be approved for AP. If you file now, you should be approved around the 1st of December. As long as there are no problems with your case (you never know what USCIS will come up with), you should be able to travel home for Christmas. The sooner you submit the application the better. Hopefully it all works out for you and Good Luck.
