Thread preview??

So I have been a member here for awhile and something that really bugs me is that when I am looking in forums the the threads and I roll over a thread title it just says "view topic, thread started xxxxxxx". Is there an easy way to update that to preview the first post of the thread? I am a member on a couple of other truck forums and they have it set this way. I like this because I dont always have to open a thread to figure out if I really want to see it. It would make navigating the site a little better IMO. Just a thought. I dont know what it takes to make that happen and if it is even an option with the software that this forum uses.

Click on the thread to open in a new window. If you don't like it, close it.

Do you think you'll use it much? I use it a lot when I'm browsing from home. Not so much from work since I usually have images disabled in Firefox and that suppresses the link for this particular feature.

I didn't even notice that, until now....They should also add the feature so that when your cursor is sitting on the thread title you can do the same thing (like in the link I posted).

I've been here for a couple years and I've never noticed that feature, and I'd imagine I am not the only one

I believe the feature was introduced with a recent upgrade of the software. I've only noticed it for a few months.

yeah that is what i'm talking about. I am an admin on duramaxforum and just accustomed to the way the forum runs there...this forum took a bit to get used to navigating it at first...then they changed it a little (of course it has been about a year since the new layout)
