Weather isn't climate - except when the climate scientologists say it is

You just gotta love those carbon cultists.

If I were to write a column citing the fact that snow was recently reported to be on the ground in 49 states as proof that the planet's not necessarily getting all that warm, I'd get comments by the dozen from people informing me that "weather isn't climate" and that the snow is not proof of anything.

But give these guys a hurricane or a flood to work with and what do you know?

All of a sudden weather is climate, as you can see in the above video.

This article in Time Magazine offers a much more reasoned approach. Instead of jumping to conclusions about climate changes, the writer notes that the "La Nina" weather pattern is the obvious culprit.

He also notes that the Aussies have done a better job than the Brazilians of planning ahead for these floods.

Indeed they have. When I was in the Brisbane area 30 years ago, there were clear markings showing how high the water would rise in the rainy season. Those markers were a good 10 feet about the pavement in some place.

So this thing has been going on for a while. No one should jump to conclusions about it - except of course climate scientologists looking for job security.
