My husband's interview was scheduled for Feb 3 2011 at 7:30am in El Salvador's US embassy/consulate, whatever you call it lol.

Is it necessary to send the DS-156 through mail....? I'm unsure of this and what is the packet 3 or 4? I'm a little confused on this. (since I read on the consulate reviews that he can't schedule a physical until he sends those documents via cargo expresso) The headline of the email says P4 after the barcode thingy, does that mean it's "package 4?" Hellpppppp I'm a little lost... I thought that all we had to do is have him go get his physical with the letter they sent us through email telling us his appt date and have our documents ready that they listed in that letter... There's more to that...??? not really angry though, very worried... :bonk:

All input is appreciated! Thanks!!!

A few questions, did you do any processing with NVC, like send then an I-864 and fee, pay fees like $405 and send documents to NVC..??

For most consulates Packet 3 and 4 have to do with non Immigrant K-1 visas, or with immigrant visas when petition is filed in country. For most immigrant visas, "Packet 3" is sending documents to NVC, and Packet 4 is Invitation packet that is sent out to visa applicant with medical instructions for interview.

Yes, we did all that with nvc, our case was closed there on the Jan 4 and our interview date was given yesterday (for feb 3). All we have received is the interview letter, should we expect more...? :help:

Interview letter should include instructions as to how and where to do medical, and what to bring to interview. That's about it.

Also you may want to update profile to change from K-3 to CR-1.
