Hi,

I filled the I-485 on November 2, then after a month, I filled the I-765(EAD). On December 20, I received the appointment letter for biometric. But it is only for I-485. So my question is that if I only need to take the biometric for one time. Will they use my finger print for both I-485 and I-765? Thank you for your guys' help!

Since you filed the applications separately instead of together, more than likely two biometrics will happen, one for I-485, and one for I-765.

If yo get a I-765 bio letter before going to the I-485, then bring both letters with you to the I-485 bio appointment.

Thank you for your reply! But I did the finger print today, (the appointment letter only shows the I-485 receipt number, and I asked them about my case, they said nothing.

Then it is wait and see, either EAD card or a Bio letter for EAD will show up in the mail.

thanks, i hope it is EAD card but not another Bio letter. :innocent:

I really got mad, today I received another biometric appointment letter for my I-765. Do they need separate fingerprint for each? Anyone who had the same experience? :crying:
