Hi friends. We filed the Affidavit of Support in mid November and filed DS230 in mid-December. We understand that the next stage of the process is the consular interview. How long must we wait until we hear from NVC or the US Embassy? We would appreciate your response. We've already waited so long and would like the whole process to be over by the beginning of this year.

You should hear back within 1 to 2 weeks of sending your DS230 and Interview Readiness forms, and it will usually be 4 weeks from that point until you have your interview. If all goes well you should receive your visa within 2 weeks (ours took 1 week) of the interview. It might be worth giving the embassy a call if it's taking longer.

It seems like the NVC is taking much longer to process the DS230 and AOS forms. A lot of posters I see here are outside the 1-2 week frame that was happening a few months ago :( Good luck! Our NVC stuff is dated from December 23rd so I hope to see some sort of progress in the next couple weeks (*fingers crossed*).
