Registered for Selective Service on F-1?!

I am planning to file for I-400 (citizenship) in a few months.

On the application, i noticed the question about 'Selective Service Registration'. After doing a bit of research i concluded that I was not required to register since I was 27 at the time i got my green card.

However, out of curiosity, I went to the www.sss.gov website and did a search on myself. To my surprise, i apparently got registered in 2004.

I am confused right now since i do not recall receiving any card or letter stating that. However, i think around that timeframe i might have done an internship outside U.S. and was not a full time student.

How could have i gotten registered for Selective Service automatically? How will this impact my 400 application? I am thinking of contacting my college for that or should i contact SSS?

Non-U.S. male on a valid non-immigrant visa

For example, if the man entered the United States as an F-1 student visa and remained in that status until his 26th birthday, he would need to provide documentation indicating that he was admitted on an F-1 visa and attended school full-time as required. Acceptable documentation for this situation include a copy of his I-20 form or a letter from the school he attended indicating his full-time attendance as a non-immigrant alien. The same thing applies for all non-immigrant statuses.

Another example, a male entering the USA on a non-immigrant K-1 age 26 a few months before age 27 still should file with SSS even though green-card looks to be issued turning 27

I am not sure if you understood my post or if I misunderstand what you are suggesting. :--) It looks like I am registered with SSS (based on me finding myself on their online database) in 2004 even though I do not remember registering.

I suspect you registered when attending college on the F-1 and forgot about it.
