Hi, I know you've probably already answered this a million times, but i've spent hours looking and i'm still not entirely sure!

We got approved on the 18/8 (yayyy) and i'm trying to get everything ready for packet 3 when it arrives. I thought that once this arrived you just had to send back the DS-230 part I and II and everything else you take with you to the interview. However i've been reading around and some people are sending everything back, including the police report, which is going to take forever to receive...

Also, does the adviacit of support also need to be sent back with packet 3?

Would appreciate advice!

Maria x

No... only the forms go back to the Embassy. All of your supporting documentation, along with your I-134 are brought with you to the interview.

And yes, David's police report took 39 days to receive from the day the request was received by the UK.

I would be cautious to send in packet 3 without your police cert. You do tick a box saying you have the police cert when you mail in packet 3 & it appears UK interviews are going to be right around than 40 days.

Apply for teh police cert today! Ours took 40 days as well.

Good point... don't get caught without what you need at the time of your interview. Wouldn't be good.

Yeah AIT in Taiwan is super quick and super friendly.. Plus alot fewer people coming out of there.. so we lucked out. They aren't an embassy though just a non profit org doing embassy work .. so maybe they don't got the mentality the rest do .. I don't know.

I sent off for it yesterday, so hopefully it'll come just as packet 3 arrives... if i'm lucky, but judging by how long it's taken so far perhaps not...

do you know how long the wait for interviews at london is at the moment? on the website is says 26 days for non immigrant visas, but as we are processed as immigrant visas, will it be different?

You will get packet 3 very soon. Look at my time line to see how quickly we got ours. Your call about sending it back in before getting your certificate though.

Interviews seem to be just under 2 months from P3 sent. Go look under immig. timelines, advanced K1 view & sort by UK. Then sort by timing of P3 sent & check it all out
