Email Lost and How Long till you get email?

I called NVC on Dec 7th asking about my I-130 case and they said that your first email was generated and sent on Dec 2nd. Neither me nor my wife got the email. The officer said that he will put in a request to send the email again but it will take upto 2 days to send it. I made sure that both mine and her email addresses were correct. I got two questions.

1. Is that possible that neither of us got the email?

2. Can it really take them 2 days to re-send an email. I thought email is suppose to be fast?

Hi... did you look in your JUNK or SPAM box? or Deleted Items? do you have a Firewall that might be blockin it?

Yes i did look in Junk/Spam forlders, its on gmail.
