My fiance' currently works for a company which has, in the past, had him working long-distance.

For almost two months, he worked from Scotland before moving to Surrey.

There is a distinct possibility that his company may be willing to have him continue to work for them even after moving to the United States.

This, of course, is a long-shot, but it's not out of the range of possibility, especially as he has worked long distance before.

My question is: Is this even possible?

I understand that you need an EAD to be able to work in the United States.

But in this circumstance, he would still be working for an overseas company, he just wouldn't physically be in the UK.

The main reason this seems possible to me is that visitors and business travelers can work for their overseas companies with no problem while in the US.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Or any idea of if doing so would be legal at all?

Edit: Probably should have researched a bit more first. I found a reply already in this forum that seems to lean towards this being legal and possible to do. Heh.:whistle:

There is nothing formally banning this. A few of us have asked USCIS employees and lawyers and have all received positive responses.
