Hi Guys!

So this is my first ever topic here and it is not even visa related but I find you guys very helpful so it's worth a try

I've been racking my brain for a Christmas gift I can give my fiance that he'd really like and since he loves drinking Tanduay so much (yes, he travels to the nearest Seafood City once in awhile just to get the cheap 5 year ones) I thought the Tanduay Mini Oak Barrel would make a perfect gift. (Don't worry he doesn't really go to this site so we're safe, please dont tell! LOL)

Here's a pic:

Tanduay Philippine Rhum

In mini oak wood barrels

80 proof - 1.5 liters

This 18-year-old rhum is poured and sealed in an authentic mini oak wood barrel that preserves the exclusive and exquisite blend of the best Philippine sugarcane varieties.

So I've got several questions..

1. Does anyone know where I can buy this particular Tanduay (aged 18, mini oak barrel) in the US online? Google isnt really a big help.

2. If I buy it from here, can I ship it via FedEx/ DHL/ any other shipping company? It's 80% proof and just 1.5 L. Ive read it's considered dangerous goods if it's more than 70% proof and more than 5L. So is this allowed? I also read you can declare it as a gift..but is it really possible? Any experience doing this?

3. If anyone here from Manila is going to the US before Christmas and kind enough to bring this small box with them on the plane and arrange for delivery before Christmas, I'd pay for the trouble! Just any help pleassee

4. Are there liquor stores you know in the US selling this? If yes where is it?

5. Can I arrange for some kind of money transfer and have you buy it for me pretty please?

Err I dont know how easy or hard this is.. I have already emailed the distributor I saw on the Tanduay site for the US and will wait for his reply, hopefully I hear from him soon!

If this proves to be too difficult, Ill just settle for something else but I'm pretty sure he'd love to have this so I wanna do everything possible to get it for him :help:

You may want to try and contact Tanduay's USA distributor. If it is available here in U.S., they should be able to tell you where.

Here's their contact information:

MIDWAY TRADING CORPORATION

Mr. Robert Cua

#130 Battery Street

San Francisco, CA 94111, USA

Tel. No: 415-986-2600 Fax No: 415-986-1406

Email: robertcua@hotmail.com

I hope this helps you. BTW, that's a great Christmas gift! Very classy!
