Has anyone heard of Chatolic Charities before? We are from Virginia, and we are in the middle of sending in our AOS from B2 visa. We have initially looked for a lawyet to help us out, but then i found this website, and all people here were so incredible, they helped me, and were patient enough to answer all the dumb questions i had.

Finally we are almost ready to submit the package, and my hubby found this organization called CHATOLIC CHARITIES(i heard they are in every state), and they are cheaper than anyone else. We payd $25 to schedule an interview with a "lawyer" that will "only" charge us $750. When my hubby called to schedule the interview, he told me the lady has a very heavy spanish accent(no offense to any spanish people), which is cool, but in something that important i would rather get an american citizen to do my paparwork...so we called and canceled our scheduled consultation.

Today we went to a us imigration lawyer to see if they can review our paperwork, and they said they can help us and it will cost anywhere from 450-500 since we already have most of the paperwork done, otherwise to start from scratch will cost $700.

Right after that we went back to chatolic charities to see if we can get reimbursed since they havent done anything for us, JUST to find out the spanish lady is not even a lawyer ...she is only a consultant, and she wanted MORE than an actual lawyer, can you believe that?????? I dont need to mention she never gave us the money back....

SOOO....if you hear about them please just take my experience and dont even bother, we waisted time and money(since everyone working there is a volunteer-so you pay full price for people who have no ideea what on earth they are doing)

Yea. I called them once and found them pretty useless plus the service is far from free,

You can try the legal department of your local university. You will have students there finishing their law degrees who may be willing to help you with no charge.
