pcc validity

Hi,

My wife lived in canada for 13 months back in 2006-2007. We got her PCC in 2007 just before she returned back to india. Would that PCC be considered valid since its almost 2+ years since we got it, but covered the period of her stay.

That PCC is not valid. In most Consulates, PCC will expire in a year. One year validity is the period between PCC issue date and the Interview date.

Some Consulates even consider lesser time such as 6 months, 3 months etc.

Thanks Loto. But wouldnt NVC reject such PCC. My wife has interview already scheduled at chennai and NVC has forwarded the documents.

Sometimes NVC will not care it much, but it is the ultimate decision of the Consulate.

I heard recently (JinyAndJony - a VJ member) that they had interview at Chennai and the Consulate looked only PP office PCC.

However, my wife is bringing the local police station pcc as well with PP office PCC.
