How Interview dates are assigned?

Hi All,

Just trying to figure out whats the logic around assigning interview dates and if my wife will get an interview in December. So I have Sent my AOS I-864 packet on October 12th and DS-230 packet was delivered today. By when our case has to be completed in order for her to get Interview in December?

This is for Delhi, India embassy.

Hi All,

hotzone, it bascially depends on the Consulate workload. Typically, Indian consulates give interview 1.5 to 3 months time after NVC Case completion.

Talk to NVC operator 1 or 2 weeks after your case completed there to get an idea.

Most probably, interview will be by the end of Dec or the beginning of Jan.

I am also looking for Dec end interview (hopefully!) due to my 1 week furlough at work and want to travel to India for 2 weeks.

estimate only- case should be completed between 10-25 days after the reciept of DS 230 and I -864 - considering no RFEs!!!!!!!!!! the interview date should be assigned in the second week on month after the case is completed for the following month...

for instance if you case gets completed before November 12, 2010.....you will most likely to get December interview...if later then Januray interview...
