Well, my fiancee went for her interview today, and we were just so sure that we would get it. Paperwork and everything was correct, and the interviewer even told us this. He said that all your paperwork is correct and you and your fiance do not need to send in any more paperwork but you will have to wait 2 -3 months. He then gave my fiancee a green piece of paper stating that it will take at least 2-3 more months for further processing, but another lady along with the interviewer said it would take 2-3 months. I dont know what to do now, my heart just sunk when my fiancee told me what happened. I had plans of going in december with my family that will now have to wait. Any ideas on what to do next, anyone I can contact for more information about this? Thank you so much

They also gave her all out documents back, even the ones she submitted for the packet 3 and told her these will not be needed any further. I dont know what to think of this but they did keep her passport so i guess thats a good sign. I just pray to god that I get her out of there sooner then later.

becasue you're dealing with pakistan there will be AP :( sorry. but hopefully it will go quickly, i think some have finished AP in 6 weeks.

if you gave your info (receipt #s, full name, etc) to anyone on VJ under the guise that they would "help" you through the immigration journey with his inside contacts (like his sister at USCIS) ... please contact OLUInquiries@dhs.gov, and go to http://www.whitehouse.gov/contact to report anything suspicious. Contact your congressman and senator's offices as well.

Do they not usually keep the passport? I thought it was common under administrative processing?

Also, do they usually give the paperwork back that was sent with the packet 3? Im just really trying to figure this thing out. I thought it was normal for men in Pakistan to go into AP, but did not think it happened very often for women. I called DOS, and a lady there said exactly that it looks like the interview went well, and that she has been approved but unfortunately she will have to go into something we call AP(administrative Processing) and she said there was no timetable for that. Told me to try back once a week. The piece of paper that my fiancee got(light green colored) said temporarily refused for AP, and could take 2-3 months. What the lady told me at DOS sounded a lot better then that piece of paper but I dont know who I should believe or what to do. I knew it could happend, but did not expect it too. Thanks everyone for the help

Sorry to hear about the AP. I've been watching your timeline because you have been filing at almost all the same times we have.

Our interview is Oct 25, and I am going to travel there to go with her. I'm a bit nervous already now that I saw that they gave AP to your fiancee, and we have our own additional issue (my fiancee has inactive TB on her medical report).

Keep us posted when you get out of AP, and I will do the same.

Thanks,

Mike

Yeah good luck on the interview....I dont know what could have put her into AP. I gave them everything they needed and more. I guess they are just getting a little more tough on any pakistani (male or female). My fiancee is also from Peshawar, and its definetly a high risk city in Pakistan. I wish you the best of luck getting through without an AP. What is the normal procedure for someone who has inactive TB, any idea?

Adam
