Well Greece is quite similar to the US actually, very much into personal freedom, no government health care etc etc etc.

Why not look at Canada, Norway, Australia when making these assumptions.

No, no, no.

You are the one who keeps bringing up China as the model we should envy yet you refuse to tell us how the average person over there lives.

Actually I do not bring China up as some model, Canada and Australia and Norway are models I refer to.

With China I am illustrating the emerging giant that is growing and will overtake, by means of their big governments intervention. Therefore, the success of the aforementioned countries, combined with China's growth illustrates that big government is not the failure you make it out to be. Furthermore, it illustrates that there is a reason no other country uses Reaganomics / Tea-party / libertarian ideologies towards their country's prosperity. Ultimately, while those guys are growing, you guys want cuts cuts cuts.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

Tax evasion is one of the major issues Greece is facing. People want the benefits of the government but don't care to pay for them. Very similar to the US.

The Federal Reserve wants a weak dollar. What does it have to do with the Tea Party movement?

Yeah. I didn't realize the Liberteapartians were in power. I should get out more.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."
