I'm hoping if someone could help me with this. I just called the DoS and they told me they have scheduled the interview for my fiancee on Nov 4th and letter sent out on Oct 8, but until now she have not received the letter yet. Can someone please tell me what is the average timeframe that you have the letter in hand before the interview? I'm just afraid we wouldn't have enough time to get the medicals done in time. By the way my wedding is on Nov 21 at New World hotel, VJers are welcome to join , please PM me so i can reserve the tables. Thanks in advance.

Ours was emailed, and if I recall correctly, we received the email at the end of April 2009 and interviewed in early June 2009. We were able to get police certs and medicals in time back in 2009, but in the last month I've been hearing VJ-er having difficulty getting a medical appointment.

In our case, Hang received Package 4 on (Friday!) August 13th, and the interview was on September 27th, so that was about 6 1/2 weeks ahead of time. We did have a little concern about getting an appointment for the medical exam but were ultimately able to get in at Cho Ray with about two weeks notice.

Have you tried email? I thought I remembered that was the way to get the letter and also I remember it was ok to just print the email and get the appointment.

Ours was received via email and I recall reading somewhere recently (within the last month or two?!) that the preferred method of communication (as far as the interview date) was via email...you (the OP) may want to double check this.

Hi.

On October 15, 2010, I/we just got our interview date scheduled for November 2, 2010. P3 was submitted July 5, 2010. There must have been an estimated 2 weeks mail deliverance delay because we now only have 16 days to prepare. It seems most interviews are scheduled 4-6 weeks from the notification issuance.

That's crazy. Same for me, i called my fiancee , she just received it yesterday, Oct 14. We also have a little more than 2 weeks to prepare. Wish you best of luck ........Wishing for PINK

This is why I recommend that once the pkt 3 has been responded to, then the petitioner should call DoS each week to check for the interview date..
