One more question:

"Application Process: Green Card (Permanent Residence)

To petition for a family member to receive a green card (permanent residence), you must submit the following with your Form I-130:

  • Proof of your U.S. citizenship
  • Evidence of the qualifying relationship (birth certificate, marriage certificate, divorce decree, etc.)
  • Proof of any legal name change for you or the beneficiary"

As bolded above, are they asking for both my mom and I's birth certificates? Or just me and my marriage certificate?

Thanks,

Wendy

The question is addressed to the beneficiary. I assume this is your mother? Translation: If you are married right now, when did you get married and where?

This would be your birth certificate if it shows the person you are petitioning for as your mother.

Sorry I didn't make it clear. Yes it's for my beneficiary.. and my beneficiary, my mom, is a widow. Does that question still need to be answered or N/A? Since legally she's not married anymore?

Thank you. That makes more sense if it's N/A.
