my fiances interview is on oct 28 in manila,.ill be flying there for this also. my question is ,i cant show much of a last 3 years tax returns because i was living in the philippines with her.but i did come back to usa and got a job making $55000.00 a year.im still currently in that job now for 7 months now ,i have all the paystubs and will have a letter from my employer.,i can show maybe 10k in a bank account.,.,do i have a problem not showing tax returns that i made no money?i was with my fiance in philippines i couldnt work. someone please help if you have a good answer to what i should do., is she goin to get denied after all this time? do i need a co-sponsor? i cant show i made any money in the last 3 years.,but my job is good now.,its ashame you cant call someone and get solid answers.,ive spent too much time and money to be denied and we waited too long.,please help with answers if possible .,thank u all

From personal experiences, you may need to provide some written explanation as to why you were not required to file income taxes for the previous years. Obviously, you didn't file since you didnt earn any oncome but that could be coounted against you so get a co-sponsor.

9/15/2010 - NOA1 Date

4/4/2011 - NOA2 Date

4/12/2011 - NVC received

4/25/2011 - NVC sent via DHL to consulate

5/2/2011 - Packet mailed

7/25/2011 - Visa approved

well as i know 55K is over the 125% poverty line for a 2 person(u and ur fiancee) but if u have other dependent or householdmember there was a bracket for a certain number of family household and all u need to do is show the evidences that u stayed here in Philippines for a certain period in absence of that Income tax and also prove that b4 u entered and stayed here in Philippines u had ur job and previously filed an income tax and maybe u have to prepare also a written explanation why u did not file a tax on a certain time while ur here in PI this is preparation for her interview coz i had a friend also with the same situation. and this is what the CO told her. hope it helps GODBLESS :D
