New York Back Logged for Biometrics..True or BS?

Hi Everyone,

Still no Biometrics for me and it's almost 3 months already from the time I received NOA1. I already called for Service Request, got their letter last Monday and was told I am in their system but no slot available yet.

Anyone with a similar experience? Should I do infopass? I'm starting to become worried because my AOS is moving on a snail's pace and my daughter's NVC is moving faster than I expected.

I submitted my daughter's DS3032 today and paid online, although I have yet to pay the $400 and DS230 [i think!]I wouldn't want her visa to come out first before I can adjust status because I want to be able to go home and be with her during her interview. Is it possible that her visa will get approved first before mine?

I dunno about New York being back logged on Biometrics appointment, I got my biometrics appointment letter (at queens, NY) 2 weeks after I sent it to Chicago Lockbox. In addition to that, I think their interview is back logged.

I think my USCIS jurisdiction is Hempstead, that's where my husband did her biometrics a few years ago for his citizenship.

Anyway, good for you! This is such a pain in the you know what and am starting to become impatient,I hope I get mine soon. I'll probably do the infopass after we get back from vacation.

Did you try to call the USCIS customer service? ask them to transfer you to an IO (they have access to your file). I called 2 weeks ago and was transfered and I asked them about my case, saves you time. try it, if it doesn't work, go schedule for an Infopass appt.
