Visa to visit Algeria

Asalaam Alaikum!

A friend of mine will be travelling to Algeria in December insha Allah and wanted to know if she can get the visa stamped at the airport when she arrives there. (That's what I did when I went to Egypt, but since I don't know how things work in Algeria, I told her I would ask here).

oh! No. have to have it before. I recommend using the Algerian Visa Center. the algerian embassy tends to not update their website much and some of the things they are requiring for a visa do not appear. It's an extra 31 dollars but well worth it.

tip: a new requirement is a notarized letter of explanation by the applicant stating who you are, where you're going, why you're going, what you're going to do there and where you're going to stay. Having an original invitation is a MUST now, didn't use to be...

Depends on what citizenship your friend holds. Algeria applies reciprocity when it comes to visa.

Id she is a non- Arab citizen then she needs to have have a prearranged visa from the embassy in DC .. cost around 100 USD I think last time i MADE MINE;Allow for month advance. T
