Question ref I-864 for AOS

My husband is in the US Air Force and we are completing the Affidavit of Support. We are very lucky that my husband makes way above the 100% poverty line so we do not need to show any extra income but due to being in the USAF he is given housing allowance and food allowance which are not taxable as they are given by the government. This money makes up quite a lot of his wages. So, on question 24a we have put his total income which includes his wage and the extra money he gets from the government. On his IRS forms only his taxable income is shown so his wages come down by about 15,000 a year. My question is, on question 25 do i put his total income (taxable and non taxable income) or just his taxable income as the question relates to his federal tax returns?

For his income, you put down the gross income, not the taxable income. The exception to this where I've seen people run into problems is for small business and self employed people, which he isn't.
